VINTAGE 2012- THE SEASONS
A difficult start into the season, followed by a very sunny summer which has helped to bring a slow maturation and great concentration in the grapes. Due to the first part of the year, the harvest was quite late in the season. With a high-level quality of the grapes, the balance of the blend looks perfect between maturity and acidity. A harmonious great vintage.
TERROIR
AOC Champagne Premier Cru & Grand Cru.
Pinot Noir from the Montage de Reims (Chamery - Verzenay).
Chardonay from the Côte des Blancs (Mesnil sur Oger - Chouilly).
VINIFICATION
The first fermentation for the Chardonnay only happens in French Burgundian Oak second hand barrel. The pinot are fermented in stainless steel vats. They are blended together after 11 months. The reunion of this 2 methods combined brings the most refined notes of finesse and freshness.
BLEND - 59% Chardonnay. 41% Pinot Noir.
DOSAGE - 8g / L.
TASTING NOTE
An elegant golden colour with a wonderful effervescence.
A gourmet and elegant nose with aromas of ripe fruit and a touch of brioche. A hint of citrus.
A very pleasant palate, delicately autumnal with a slight hint of acidity and some notes of red fruits (blackberries). A splendid and well-balanced length.
